4.758 reviewsHighly recommended. The location of hotel is great, it's at one end of Calz. de Los Frailes, the beautiful spanish style street with nice restaurants and shops. I personally prefer this side of this street, because aother end is busier and noisier, and the hotel rooms there are smaller and older. This hotel is a small design hotel. It's new and clean, with beautiful Spanish/Yucatan decoration. The hotel is by a huge but quiet sqaure with open view to a convent. The hotel also has a private but cute courtyard with a swimming pool. You can hang out on the squarewith the public or at the privat…
Valladolid is a great town and this is a good base to explore it from. Rooms are super clean and large with excellent AC. We were there 3 nights and it was a bit noisy one night with music from a bar but all good otherwise.
I found this to be a lovely hotel with great service from a friendly young staff. Yes, there's a bar nearby with loud music late at night, but ear plugs are provided. The hotel is at the opposite end of a street that connects to the main town plaza, which is a lively, fun place to be. It's also right across from the historic convent, which has a great short video projected on its facade every night. The included breakfast is quite well-done, with great service. The rooms are big and clean. I had a nice balcony with a hammock overlooking the pool. For a whole week's stay, I really couldn't hav…
Planning your trip to Valladolid
Valladolid is the smart base for eastern Yucatán: a small grid-plan colonial city with Chichén Itzá 45 minutes away and cenotes in every direction — one of them, Zací, inside the city itself. The charming hotels cluster around the main square and along the Calzada de los Frailes, the cobbled street running down to the Sisal convent: coloured townhouses with courtyards and small pools. A few blocks off the centre, prices fall fast. Our 2026 scans logged 26 hotels with a real price: from US$17 a night and a typical rate of about US$70 — sleeping here costs a fraction of the Riviera Maya. Honestly: the heat is truly Yucatecan — March to June melts — and the trick is the early start: ruins before the coast buses arrive, cenotes at opening time.
