And the service we got was impeccable. We were regularly visited by a lizard which was a nice surprise. If you are not into nature or can't handle animals Nomade will also be nothing for you. We also enjoyed the restaurant and food they served. Prices are a bit high for Mexico but about equivalent to similar restaurants and "fair". If you are looking for a tranquil island getaway with a focus on wellness, delicious food, and connection to nature - Nomade Holbox is it. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly kind and accommodating which amplified the peaceful nature of our stay. Laura, the wellness coordinator, was able to assist us in sessions that would be beneficial based on our needs once we arrived. All of the sessions we participated in were well-crafted and soothing. Try to rip you off by trying to get your credit card details beforehand although I booked via booking.com. The didn’t even accept the AMEX credit card used to make the booking and tried to get a different one because of the fees. In my opinion, they are after quick cash months in advance of your stay, instead of letting you pay upon checkout like in any other decent hotel globally. Westward toward Punta Cocos and eastward toward Punta Mosquito the beach opens up and the boutique hotels appear, hammocks strung over the water — pricier and quieter. Our 2026 scans logged 47 hotels with a real price: from US$38 a night and a typical rate of about US$92. Honestly: getting here takes effort — two and a half hours from Cancún plus a ferry — mosquitoes and sandflies show up the moment it rains, nearly everything is paid in cash, and when the island fills, its services strain.
