3.7509 reviewsThe Best is the location, it's pretty close to the downtown area and very near restaurants and cafes. Rooms are okay, pretty basic, they lack maintenance but they are clean, so they are okay if You only need a place to stay overnight. Do NOT expect any Nice views or cozy rooms, but they do the job.
Me and my girlfriend had a nice stay here. It was one of the cheapest accommodations we could find (but with using a promotion) and therefore we had a nice & clean double room which was silent in the night, equipped with a comfy bed, good WiFi and a TV which was capable of playing Netflix :) We didn't like the missing hot water and the receptionist was not really nice to us, although they allowed us on the next day to store our luggage at the reception for half a day. They also were not able/didn't want to help us with heating up our food, not even a microwave. We did like that they had free…
Plenty of bed bugs, no heated water in 38 degrees weather. Dirty bed sheets and bathroom. Places such as this shouldn't be allowed to solicit their service on the internet. Quiet area though.
Planning your trip to San Cristobal De Las Casas
San Cristóbal de las Casas is walked, so the neighbourhood matters more than the star count. The axis is the Real de Guadalupe pedestrian street and the blocks around the zócalo: that is where the courtyard-mansion boutique hotels, the serious coffee and the low-key nightlife concentrate. The Cerrillo and Guadalupe barrios, toward the hilltop church, keep the charm with less noise; out toward the Chamula road, prices drop. Our 2026 scans logged 31 hotels with a real price: from US$26 a night and a typical rate of about US$65 — among the most affordable of the colonial cities. Honestly: you are at 2,200 metres in the Chiapas highlands — nights are cold all year and not every hotel is heated; ask about a fireplace or heater before booking, especially from November to February.
