The pool area was nice and relaxing, and we appreciated the free parking. However, the rooms felt a bit dated, and some maintenance issues could use attention. Service was friendly but occasionally slow. There is no coffee machines or cups in the rooms. Also no covers/ blankets. So we a/c , it was chilly. Without a/c it was too hot. While we were at the pool nobody offered us towels at all for those 3 days. One of the receptionist was rude and very unfriendly. Overall, it was an ok…
Great hotel, service was great, we had the master with two bedrooms looking over the pool, and it was spacious. The cleaning ladies were lovely, and all personnel were kind and helpful.
really liked the hotel itself but staff were a little overbearing, particularly male staff asking if I was by myself and if I had a boyfriend as a young female solo traveller… not cool. Also, at one point staff just walked into my room without knocking and then didn’t even apologize! Just asked if it was only me in the room and walked back out! That was crazy to me. Otherwise, pool was lovely, gardens very nice, and I like the beach club down the road

La Crucecita is the town — simple hotels, the market, taquerías — 10 minutes from the bays and home to the best prices. Santa Cruz has the pier, the marina and a friendly town beach; Chahué sits between, quiet and growing. Our 2026 scans logged 37 hotels with a real price: from US$40 a night and a typical rate of about US$93 — markedly cheaper than the Caribbean's big resorts or Los Cabos. Honestly: nightlife is short here and the loveliest beaches are earned by boat or dirt track; you come to Huatulco to slow down.
