4.21434 reviewsVery old hotel. Renovations under way. Excelent a/c. No elevator. Easy walk to the Historic center. Restaurant has very good breakfast but not much is offered for the evening. No alcohol. All the personnel was very friendly. The rooms are very clean. It has a small pool under a beautiful Plumeria tree. It's quite unfortunate that the city itself is quite dilapidated around the Historic center. The "malecón " or waterfront esplanade is quite lively and has a covered souvenir alley. This hotel is incredible! I was a little hesitant to stay there since I've always stayed at a different hotel in Veracruz. However, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay. I loved everything about the hotel. The structure of the building is beautiful. It's an old building so it feels like you're back in time. The room is a decent size. It was very clean and comfortable. There was a bit of a mildew smell but I think that's expected for how old the bulding is. The service was great! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Interesting historical building located 2 blocks from the market. Staff was very courteous. Rooms were clean and spacious. There is an outdoor pool with a beautiful tree over it and a closed well next to it. You can easily get a cab right outside the hotel or walk to many places.
