Lovely and quaint hotel located minutes from the town square and close to all the restaurants and historic places. Although a very small city the hotel is like a historic villa with colonial style period features. Nice place, however basic room and breakfast only, no frills and other services or entertainment.

If I had to describe our stay at Casa Don Gustavo, I'd say it was like being the guest in an affluent home a hundred years ago. Except we had a refrigerator and air conditioning. We splurged a little and stayed in one of the Master Suites for three nights. The suite was very comfortable, nicely furnished with a large bathroom. Breakfast was included and was very good. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring the historic center of town and a short walk to the Malecon. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
